Khoji Dog Center provides tracking dog service in Ziarat, the hill station in northern Balochistan at about 2,500 metres, known for its juniper forests and the Quaid-e-Azam Residency. Visitors come for the cool weather, and winters bring heavy snow.
Where a khoji dog helps in Ziarat
- Searching for a visitor who has gone missing in the forest or on a hillside.
- Following a trail after a theft from a hotel, guest house or shop.
- Tracking from a vehicle taken from a parking area.
- Searching slopes and ravines for a lead.
Juniper forest is thick, steep and easy to get lost in, and paths fork often. In winter, snow covers footprints and the cold makes every hour more serious. A dog follows scent through forest far quicker than a line of people.
Tell us where you are staying, the route planned, the time left and the clothing of the person. If anyone is in danger, call the police on 15 first, then call Khoji Dog Center on 03010054431, at any hour.
